Lateral Aspect is one of WA’s leading and most enduring independent creative advertising agencies. On the cusp of turning 25, we are seeking a self-motivated, super smart and hard-working agency executive for a 12-month maternity leave contract.

Overseeing a highly diversified client portfolio, the role is supported with the services of an experienced Account Manager.

Majority Duties:
  • Develop and manage client brand strategies
  • Including adapting and incorporating appropriate media channels, including TV, Radio, Press, Outdoor and Digital Media (Social Media, Display Advertising, Google Ads, Native Advertising, SEO etc.)
  • Conduct strategy sessions for clients
  • Research and develop brand strategy reports
  • Liaise with the team regarding creative and web development concepts
  • Deliver and present brand strategy and campaign strategies to clients 
  • Work with the Art Director to direct and coordinate departments concerned with the production of work
  • Work with third party media buyers and analyse results and work with clients to understand the correlation between digital media reports and actual client sales/enquiries etc.
  • Brief Art Director and Team on brand and campaign strategies
  • Liaise with clients concerning developing solutions for ongoing brand management

Business Development
  • Responsible for growing the agency’s income with the development of new business opportunities
  • Meet with prospective clients to understand and identify their creative and business strategy requirements
  • Liaise with Creative Director and Art Director to determine hours, costs etc. associated with new business proposals
  • Develop business proposals for prospective clients
  • Present proposals to prospective clients

Key responsibilities
Ability to draft and execute strategies that align to key business objectives, based on tangible data and insights.
The strategy planner will create a clear roadmap for our clients, providing goals, tactical initiatives and budget/resourcing guidance. You’ll bring the ability to collaborate and influence teams to plan, develop and implement tactics marketing initiatives across communications, customer relationship management, digital marketing, customer experience, brand management with media strategy consideration.


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/commerce/psychology and/or demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing and advertising and client/account management
  • Comprehensive understanding of above and below the line media tactics
  • Ability to understand and disseminate media reports and provide advice to the agency team and clients
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, financial and business reports
  • Ability to influence, motivate and build trust with peers and clients
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • A well organised, strategic problem solver
  • Outcome focused with an understanding of development and implementation of business strategies
