Job Description

An opportunity for an Internal Communications professional has become available within the Communications department of ALDI, based in Minchinbury. This position is full time.

The Internal Communications team plays a key part in increasing employee engagement and ensuring all 11,000 employees feel connected and proud to work for ALDI.

Your primary focus will be developing our communications strategy and ensuring it is effectively communicated through events, announcements, conferences, business presentations and key projects to build employee engagement and advocacy.

This position will be challenging, with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will have a diverse role managing your own workload and strategically driving change.

What we are looking for:

You will be a Communications professional with vast experience in Internal Communications and Change Management. You will work alongside our supporting agencies, broader Communications and Marketing team and liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business.

Selection Criteria:

  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in Communications
  • A strong communicator both verbal and written
  • A high degree of knowledge of Internal Communications theory and its application
  • A strategic mind to develop innovative initiatives to engage employees and drive change
  • The journalistic ability to source stories from ALDI employees
  • Ability to produce and write content for various audiences
  • An open communication style
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Highly organised with an ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances at short notice and meet ongoing deadlines

Your responsibilities:

  • Your primary responsibility will be developing our communications strategy and ensuring it is executed correctly through key opportunities
  • Creating and coordinating content for various audience types, evaluating constantly and adjusting the strategy as needed
  • Driving strategic change and meeting business objectives through communication
  • Have a deep understanding of the different audience types and how to write for each
  • Effectively manage the area of responsibility using initiative and suggesting ways of continuously improving processes and systems for greater efficiency
  • This role reports to the Internal Communications Manager and will work alongside two team members.
