Client Service. Otherwise called 'Suits'. They're the people responsible for overseeing the entire advertising process. From assisting the client in putting together the marketing strategy, through to writing the brief and overseeing the production of the finished advertisements. Roles include: Account Coordinators, Account Executives, Account Managers, Account Directors and Client Service Directors.

Media. and Creative work closely together to deliver engagin brand communication to the audience for maximum effect. That means, it must be seen, read or heard by the right target, at the right time, in the right environment and at the right price.

Planning/Strategy. The primary function of the Planning or Strategic Department is to find consumer insights that help the creative teams to create work that is not only entertaining and highly memorable, but that is relevant to the consumer and effective in the marketplace.

Digital. It's everywhere and increasingly not seen as a separate area of advertising but a fully integrated component. It requires input from Planning, Client Service and Brand but there is a big production part too - websites and apps to design and build, social media content to maintain, viral film to produce and online advertising to create.

Creative. The people that come up with these ideas are known as Copywriters and Art Directors. In most agencies, Copywriters and Art Directors work as a creative pair. They come up with the ideas for all mediums such as online, outdoor, television commercials, print and radio, based on the brief they've been given.

Brand. Not just about logos. This part of the industry has a strategic component, developing and maintaining the expectations behind the brand experience, creating qualities or characteristics that make a product or service unique.

Production. This covers all the producers of the work in the Studio it's the Finished Artists, Retouchers and Designers producing the creative for example billboards, brochures and press ads. This also includes TV and Radio Production - organising TV commercials or recordings for radio. Producers will obtain quotes and manage budgets; they'll also source the Directors, film crew and talent (voices, models and actors) for the job.
