As Accreditation is centred upon the agency’s commitment, the Communications Council will be looking for an agency-wide approach to accreditation and CPD. Agencies will be expected to structure an average of 24 hours CPD per permanent staff member each year. To determine the total number of CPD hours to be completed by the agency annually, agencies should declare their total number of permanent staff and multiply that number by 24.
Although not all staff need to be enrolled, the Communications Council recommends that at least 75 per cent of staff are involved in CPD.
Your agency’s commitment to accreditation and CPD will only be successful if the program is embraced by all staff. The best way to do this is to convene an all staff meeting in order to inform them.
