ASA Briefing on New Zealand’s new Children and Food Advertising Codes
The Associations Forum National Conference is for professionals working in the not-for-profit The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has recently released a new code, the Children’s Code for Advertising Food, and updated the Code for Advertising to Children and the Code for Advertising of Food in New Zealand.
The codes came into force on 1 August 2010 with a transition period for existing material to 1 December 2010. Advertisers, Agencies and Media, who advertise in New Zealand, need to familiarise themselves with these codes. Hilary Souter, Chief Executive of the ASA and Secretary to the Review Panel will be highlighting key code changes and issues raised during the review.
This is a must attend event for all those advertising food and beverages or other products appealing to children.
