Tobacco Advertising is prohibited under the Tobacco Advertising Prohibition Act. There are several exceptions which include Point of Sale Advertising and Advertising through sponsorship of sports. However, companies who are successfully prosecuted for breaching the regulations will face million-dollar fines under new laws flagged by the NSW State Health Minister. For details refer to the Tobacco Advertising Prohibition Act 1992.
