QUT, the university for the real world, introduced Australia's first Advertising degree program in the 1970's and now offers a host of advertising and IMC programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and in an online and classroom environment.

The Classes

Courses are held over an eleven-week term that includes three hours of lectures,workshops and group assignments per week, with an exam in the final week. AFA AdSchool also offers shorter workshops and seminars. Most courses and workshops are held after hours.

Awards

AFA AdSchool issues the following awards:

AFA Certificate of Attainment
For one course.

AFA Executive Certificate
For two courses as set out below. Courses for the Executive Certificates must be completed within two years. Please note that each course can only be counted once towards an executive certificate.

AFA Advertising Practitioner Diploma
For four core courses and five electives. Courses must be completed within four years. See AFA awards for detailed information
